Jahrhundert nach Christus zur Zeit des Kaisers Claudius und gilt als Schüler von Apuleius Celsus. "This is an important compilation of drugs and prescriptions. Among other things, it records the drinking od one's own blood as a therapeutic rite. Scribonius was one of the first to describe accurately the preparation of true opium" (Garrison/M.).

With woodcut printer's device at end. 18th cent. half vellum with calf label. - Partly slightly browned, at beginning slightly waterstained, 1 leaf loosened. Edges rubbed.
