PROVENANCE: Collection Olaf Jacobsen, Düsseldorf (acquired directly from the artist - 2018).

"In the beginning I used strictly organized rhythms, mathematical series, that later dissolve in a free rhythm. What I became subsequently occupied with was to attain an integration of light, which would set these white structures into motion through alternating light incident and which I intended to be perceived as a fre and artioculate light space. I decided in favotr of a white zone as the utter degree of coloring, as apex of light, as triumph over the dark."
Günther Uecker, 1968, quote after: Kritisches Lexikon der Gegenwartskunst, p. 14.
