• One of the first nail fields from the artist's ZERO days.
• From the transition period between the strictly geometrically organized "Raster" (Grids) and "Strukturen" (Structures) pictures to the moved nail fields.
This work is registered in the Uecker Archive with the number GU.60.014 and has been earmarked for inclusion into the forthcoming catalog raisonné.
PROVENANCE: Collection Olaf Jacobsen, Düsseldorf (acquired directly from the artist - 2018).
"In the beginning I used strictly organized rhythms, mathematical series, that later dissolve in a free rhythm. What I became subsequently occupied with was to attain an integration of light, which would set these white structures into motion through alternating light incident and which I intended to be perceived as a fre and artioculate light space. I decided in favotr of a white zone as the utter degree of coloring, as apex of light, as triumph over the dark."
