Folge überaus reizvoller Fischkupfer vor detaillierter landschaftlicher Staffage.

Undatierte Auflage der um 1598 erstmals erschienenen Folge der Fische. Sehr schöne Darstellungen, zeigen neben Fischen auch andere Wasserbewohner wie Hummer, Schildkröte und Walroß.

EINBAND: Neuer Halblederband mit Rückenschild. 19,5 : 26 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Gestochener Titel und 24 mont. Kupfertafeln, numeriert 1-24 (von 25). - ZUSTAND: Ohne Taf. 25. - Titel etw. gebräunt, 1 Bl. mit Braunfleck und kl. Fehlstelle, sonst gute und kaum fleckige Drucke. 1 Beigabe (lose Taf. 14). - PROVENIENZ: Exlibris Waldemar Schwalbe, datiert 1937.

Series of very attractiv fish depictions in front of detailed landscapes. Engraved title and 24 (of 25) mounted etchings. Mod. half morocco with label on spine. - Plates numbered 1-24, lacking plate 25. - Some browning to title, 1 plate with brownstain and small defective spot, else good set. 1 addition (plate 14). - Bookplate W. Schwalbe, dated 1937.
