Gedruckt bei Mourlot, Paris und herausgegeben von Tériade Éditeur, in Paris. 1959-1961 illustriert Marc Chagall für Tériade die antike, bukolische Erzählung Daphnis und Chloé von Longus. Das Urteil zeigt eine besonders zarte, atmosphärische Darstellung, die die Luft und das Licht Griechenlands widerspiegelt.
- ZUSTAND: Mit dem Mittelfalz, gebräunt, verso Ecken mit entfernter Montierung. - PROVENIENZ: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung.
