Hamburg, Johannes and Thomas Borchard, 14 November, 1491. Modern brown morocco with gilt lettering as well as gilt fillet borders. Folio. 154 unnumb. ll. Of the four or five further prints, which have been scribed to Johann and Thomas Borchard for their typographic features, three are only survived fragmentarily (cf. ISTC). - The Marienlob by Jacobus de Voragine, a collection of 160 sermons in alphabetic order, counts among his few printed works. - Head margin with slight traces of damp in places, first squire with thoroughly restored marginal blemishes, at the beginning with few small traces of worming in white margin, title with old entries. Else fine and broad-margined copy of the rare incunabula. Ex-libris Tore Virgin.The first book printed in Hamburg, at the same time the only dated Hamburg incubalua.
