EINBAND: Marmorierte Kalblederbände mit Rückenschildern und Rückenvergoldung, Innenkantenvergoldung und Goldschnitt. 20 : 13 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit gestochenem Porträt nach Mignard sowie 6 gestochenen Titelvignetten und 33 Kupfertafeln nach Moreau le Jeune. - ZUSTAND: Kupfer teils leicht stockfleckig, in Bd. 6 die ersten Bll. mit Braunfleck im ob. Rand. Rücken restauriert, beschabt und tls. mit Läsuren, Kanten und Ecken bestoßen. - PROVENIENZ: Titel mit alten hs. Besitzeinträgen, darunter der amerikanische Dichter Laugthon Osborn (1809-1878), der es 1831 von "Dr. Mason's library" erworben hatte, sowie der Kritiker und Shakespeare-Gelehrte Richard Grant White (1822-1885), datiert 1850.
