Londini Angliae regni metropolis delineatio accuratissima (Kopftitel). - La ville de Londres, capitale de la Grande Bretagne. Kupferstich von Pieter van der Aa, Leiden 1729. 50 : 59 cm.
Prachtvoller und seltener Plan von London mit großer Ansicht von Westwood Park im unteren Drittel.
Exemplar der überarbeiteten Neuausgabe durch P. van der Aa, veröffentlicht in der Galerie Agréable . Der Kupferstich wurde erstmals um 1680-90 von Johannes de Ram herausgegeben, es folgten zwei weitere Ausgaben bei De la Feuille und De Wit. - "The plate is completely altered, only the plan itself and the cloth with 'Names of Places Containd in this Map' (top right) is unaltered. The coat-of-arms top left is replaced with a cartouche 'Places of Southwark' (key 1-10) .. The view [of London and the River Themse] at the bottom and both portraits [of William III. and Mary] were replaced with a bird's-eye-view of Westwood Park, Worcestershire, and a new title in French" (Van der Krogt, Town atlasses IV-2, S. 1109).
- ZUSTAND: Leicht gebräunt, ursprünglich mehrfach gefaltet und mit mehreren Randeinrissen nur knapp bis in die Darstellung sowie Knickspuren, Mittelfalte oben und unten auf ca. 5-7 cm eingerissen, mittig eine kl. hinterlegte Fehlstelle, untere Ecken etwas wasserrandig, im oben rechten Rand ein alt montiertes hs. Titelschild bis knapp in den Kopftitel. Ordentliches Exemplar des seltenen Londonplans.

Significantly reworked fourth edition of the city plan of London, first published by De Ram (afterwards by De la Feuille and De Wit). The view of London and portraits of William III and Mary in the lower third fo the sheet substituted with a bird's-eye-view of Westwood Park, Worcestershire. - Slightly tanned, with several tears and creases to margins partly reaching into the plate, centrefold split at the top and the bottom by 5 to 7 cm and with one small rebacked defective spot in the middle, lower corners somewhat waterstaind, upper right margin with old ms. label pasted marginally over the title bar. Overall still good copy of the scarce plan.R)
