Schöner Scholiendruck mit zahlreichen kleinen lebendigen floralen Initialen in Schrotschnitt.

EINBAND: Zeitgenössischer Holzdeckeleinband, Rücken mit blindgeprägtem Schweinslederbezug. Folio. 31,5 : 22 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit Titelholzschnitt und zahlr. Schrotschnitt-Initialen. - KOLLATION: 8 nn., 224 num. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Teils mit Feuchtigkeitsspuren im Seitensteg (bes. zu Beginn und am Ende), flieg. Vorsätze entfernt, stellenw. mit Marginalien und Korrekturen von alter Hd. (tls. sehr ausführlich), Titel mit alten Besitzeinträgen. Einbd. partiell mit Wurmlöchern, Rücken tls. geschwärzt und mit 2 Fehlstellen, Schließen entfernt.

I: Scarce Cicero edition, only one copy in Zurich National Library, not found in Edit 16 and Index Aureliensis. With title woodcut and numerous metalcut initials. Contemp. wooden boards binding, spine with pigskin cover. - Partly stained by damp in the fore edge (mostly at the beginning and the end), flying endpapers removed, partly with marginalia and corrections by old hand (partly very extensive), title with old owner's entries. Binding with traces of worms, spine partly blackened and with 2 defective spots, clasps removed. - II: Convenient edition in two columns and with extensive index. Contemp. calf with gauffered edges. - Partly waterstained in the top edges, title with small cutout at the lower margin, flying endpaper with letter specimes. Binding rubbed, corners bumped, spine covered with old paper.
