Helliesen/Sørensen 466. Signed, titled and isncribed "Selbstdruck". From an edition of at least 8 known proofs. On firm copper plate printing paper. 59 x 44.7 cm (23.2 x 17.5 in). Sheet: 66,9 x 50 cm (26,3 x 19,7 in).
From the important series "Hamburger Brücken", for the first time on display at Galerie Commeter in Hamburg in October 1932.
Another print is at the 'Kupferstichkabinett der Öffentlichen Kunstsammlungen' in Basel. [JS].
• The series "Hamburger Brücken" is considered a key work of Nesch's technically innovative printmaking, it was the first time that he used the new metal print technique.
• Very rare. To date only one other print has been offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com)
• Part of a Northern German private collection since it was made
